tl;dr
Nounify Basel using Guerrilla Marketing during 2 days of the Art Basel fair through various marketing campaigns, tying it up with my (@beautyandpunk) panel at the event. For that, I’m asking the DAO for 16 ETH.
What is Art Basel?
Art Basel, exhibiting art of the 20th and 21st centuries, is indisputably the world’s leading fair in the international art market. Around 250 selected galleries from around the world present modern and contemporary works of high quality, making the fair the most important temporary museum. Basel is where the art world meets. Art Basel is a meeting place for artists, art collectors and many celebrities from the art scene. The high-calibre exhibitions showcase various art forms, with both works by modern masters and art by emerging talents. Art Basel brings the art world to life – which is probably why it is so successful. The 2019 show in Basel attracted 93,000 visitors over six days. It presented 290 galleries from 35 countries, exhibiting the work of over 4,000 artists.
What do we want to do?
Guerrilla marketing to make Nouns visible throughout the city during the 15th and 16th of June, all done through a marketing agency. How do we want to do that?
- Give away chocolate! Distribute chocolate in Nouns branded packaging (containing a QR code to direct to nouns.wtf)
- Floor ads (with chalk): Noggles will be spray painted in 50 placements in various places in the city
- Posters: posters containing a Noun and a QR code will be placed around the city either in grids (3x3 and 2x2) or singles.
- “Thomas Noun Affair” mob: we’ll have 12 people walking around the city wearing the same purple wig I will use for my panel (to maintain my anonymity) and large irl 3D printed Noggles on their heads. This is what I will be wearing at the event, with the difference that I will wear Salvino D’Armati's creation. This will tie the marketing with a Nouner on Art Basel’s stage.
- Walking boards LED with QR code: 6 LED Boards with visible QR Code with people walking around the city with it.

- chocolate: 1.4 ETH
- floor ads: 2.4 ETH
- posters: 2.6 ETH
- mob: 2.7 ETH
- 3D printed Noggles: 1.1 ETH
- walking boards: 4.2 ETH
- Social Media content creation (film and pictures): 0.3 ETH
- Project Management (Swiss agency): 1.2
- Graphic work (they create the visual for the boards and the posters): 0.1 ETH
